Due to circumstances beyond our control...

The Right Track/Wiggle Rim Bike Shop project has to be put on hold indefinitely. Sincere Thanks go out to all those that helped and brought business our way. JR has gone on to work for another up and coming shop in the same 'hood (details to be officially announced at a later date), and Flip is pursue the exciting world of freelance bike repair and building. Hit him up here or on his cell for any and all bike repairs. I'm sure if you ask nicely he'll even do a house call. As for me, Hooligan Dave the Tattooist, I'm still working by appointment only, of course, and am riding the days away and racing the dawn to the bar for last call. See my blog for tattoo news.

See you soon.....

Ride it hard and put it away wet,

Things are going really well, in-stock items are starting to arrive so come out and take a look at what we have. Conversions are still going strong and several are out and about in the 'hood rolling around being bad-ass.

You know everyone will be there at some time or another that night, so if you want to mingle with your favorite spinners be sure to make an appearance of your own. And BYOB, of course. Remember; sharing is caring.

Oh yeah, and local Street Hooligan tattooer Hooligan David (yours truly) will be on hand offering tattoo consultations and handing out super sweet deals on tattooers for bikers, trikers, and unicyclers.

All in all it's gonna be a bitching good time. Don't miss it. You'll be sorry when you don't have a drunken tall tale Wednesday morning. I guarantee it.

The end.

So I guess it's true. If you BBQ it, they will come. After a day of sanding and stripping down frames for a few conversions, Flip and I decided to grab some grub and fire up the grill for a bit. No sooner had we chowed most of the food down with JR and the guys from the fab shop next door, did Rocky and some of the Tuesday Fixie riders come rolling in the door. They were just out rolling around and cruised by the see how things were coming along. We chilled out for a bit, finished the rest of the food, and Fernie and Nano picked up some 20"ers and re-lived the old days by attempting some bunnyhops and manuals in the warehouse. All in all, a good day. Check out some pics here. Here's a random trackstand in case you're too lazy to click the link.

San Antonio Get Ready....

Okay San Antonio, be prepared for friendly neighborhood service, quality used and new products, fun local events, and all the free advice you could ever want. With the grand opening of The Wiggle Rim (Apr. 2oth) that is exactly what we are finally receiving. Unlike any other bike shop in town, The Wiggle Rim is a mix of what you actually need and want, not just what someone tells you you do. Located on the corner of S. Presa and Grove St. just south of the tracks, we look forward to having you stop by for repairs, used bike sales, new and used parts and components, new bike orders, or just advice from someone who knows the nuts and bolts of bike riding and repair in San Antonio. Anyone stopping by is sure to see a face they remember from a High Life ride. Or a Second Saturday ride. Or even the High Heel Bicycle Club or Street Hooligans. Unlike typical bike shops in our city (even the ones that are "neighborhood owned and operated"), The Wiggle Rim is more of a bicycle collective. Have JR true up your wheels. Have Flip paint your frame or start your fixie conversion. And everyone is encouraged to participate. Have some old parts you want to trade? Need a weird part from an old bike? Come by. We might have it or know someone who does. Maybe you just have some old frames or bikes sitting around the garage taking up space and want to donate them to be fixed up and returned to circulation. Also in the works are weekly rides, BBQ events at the shop, and co-ordination with the city to be more active in maintaining bike lanes, traffic awareness, etc. So come on in and talk to someone who has been in your shoes and actually remembers what it was like to want to fix up your own bike instead of ordering a cookie-cutter one from a catalog. Or if that's what you want, we'll show you a couple catalogs to look at.

The bottom line is we are here to keep you riding. And that's all any bike shop should ever strive to do.
